How to Avoid Scam In General

I will have permanent for this page, so people can view it easily in the future. This page will be updated in the future (if more scam sites or more info related to scams are added). The updated date will be posted on the bottom of the page. If anyone of you is willing to submit any scam to me, I will post them here as well.

To avoid scams, the following rules should be observed:
  • As a rule of thumb, before you invest into any program, please skip the IP which has problem in the past. The same scammer will most likely will use the same IP again and again.
  • The word "hyip" is part of the investment program name. The probability is 99.99% of the time, they are scams. So stay away from the program which has the word "HYIP" as part of the name.
  • Avoid something like this.
  • Avoid clicking on email asking for passwords.
  • Avoid copycats, see this.
  • Follow some strategies or rules, see this.
  • Avoid the goldcoder scripts, see this for some examples of them.
  • Avoid program host its program on a free web site, example: http://marvinjhonson.tripod.com/nothyipclub.
  • See the complete scam site list.
  • See why FireFox is better than IE, see this post.
