Important Updates from Forex-United

An update from Forex-United.com, see news:
Hi all.

We experienced a little downtime yesterday, wich some customers reported to us, but it was expected, once our servers were under maintenance and had to be rebooted.

After the technicians rebooted the servers the SSL device of our domain is not working properly. It will not cause any problem in the system and for sure will not affect the investments. But we know that the SSL is very important for security, so we are working now to fix it asap.

Another important announcement about security: it is not possible to edit the e-gold account of the profile through the site anymore. So if any investor need to change his e-gold account, the administration must be contacted so we will check all informations and proceed with the profile updating. Also, the confirmation email sent in the registration process does not contain the password anymore. So it is very important that you save and remember you password in order to log in. We had to change these features once we noticed that anyone may have their email hacked so if the mailbox still saves that registration email sent by us, the hacker may have
access to our system and prejudice the investor.

Security Tips
========
We are all working with investments in the internet. Thus, we have to transfer money online and many times we may be exposed to attacks. So here goes some useful tips to avoid these attacks:

- never use the same password of your e-gold account for your email nor for any other log in you may have. always use a unique password for each e-gold account you have.
- never answer, click in links or download attachments of emails that appear to be from e-gold, paypal, e-bullion, etc. These companies never send emails asking you to log in or update your informations.
- always use anti-virus, anti-spywares and firewall with daily updates. scan your computer for trojans, keyloggers and malwares every day.
- never give personall information online unless in trusted sites.
- do not exchange with people who even do not have a proper site.
- do not use IE. prefer use FireFox or Opera. everybody knows that IE has too many security holes.
- and never, never give your passwords to anyone, or send it by email through the net. last month, even the well known yahoo mail was infected by a malware.

If you follow those simple tips it is very hard that you will face losses you having your accounts or email hacked in the future.

We want the best for all, and we expect that we can make our part helping everybody to increase their security.
