Nasty Phishing Scam from Unique-Profits

Scam warning on Unique-profits, (ip: 70.86.106.42), from peterg of GoldenTalk. The moral of the story is: never change any setting on your e-gold account because of the HYIP site told you so.
WARNING DO NOT INVEST HERE

Let me tell you a story.......

My friend is a hyip newbie..... and he found this wonderful opportunity at www.unique-profits.com

He read everything very carefully and then proceeded to make a $25 deposit.

Seconds later his e-gold account was completely empty.

What he didn't have the experience to understand was this:
Quote:
NOTE: Before making the deposit, make sure that your e-gold account has the "Automated Access" option set to "Allow from Any IP Address" otherwise you won't be able to receive payments. The option must be set before you make your deposit. For more information regarding this matter please read the the Step 4 of the How To page.

This site is a scammer / hacker combo - The "E-gold" spend form is probably on a copycat, so they record your account details and password. Having allowed access from any IP - Bingo ! Account empty... in seconds.

This is nasty..

Please don't get caught!

PrivateOpps is going private!

PrivateOpps is going private, I am not sure if this is good or bad news for all investors. Only time will tell. I still have my money locked in their program. I can't withdraw either. As for the past experiences, most of them folded when they became private. I hope this is the exception to the rule. See news:
Dear Participant,

After much consideration and as a direct result of the recent difficulties we have been experiencing due to spammers and DDoS attackers, PrivateOpps is finally going private!

We consider this step as an opportunity to further improve our service to existing members, and continue to operate without any interruptions by malicious users who want to see us (and your money) disappear.

Therefore, effective immediately, we do not accept new members until further notice. Perhaps next month we will re-open our doors on an invite-only basis, but for now we wish to focus on serving our existing 6,300+ members.

This morning we have begun to work on a secure, private, web-based interface for all existing members to use, replacing our current public website and members area.

To protect the new platform from malicious users, access will be granted to existing members only (based on a unique Username/Password for each member) through our very own offshore Virtual Private Network (VPN) servers. This will finally stop all DDoS attacks and service interruptions due to false spam reports.

We have put all resources into launching it as quickly as possible, and we estimate that the new platform will become available to existing members early next week (April 5th at the latest).

During this one-week period, we will keep our regular website offline, as it will most likely continue to attract various attacks and thus slow us down significantly.

This means that access to accounts will also be temporarily unavailable - as well as Unit redemptions, purchases, deposits, and withdrawals - until we move to the new private servers.

Please keep in mind that the private clubs will continue to operate as usual, and interest will be paid Monday through Friday as it always has. Unit redemption orders that are currently pending will be processed as scheduled, but, of course, the funds will only be available for withdrawal when we are back up.

The past week and a half have been very stressful for us, and I'm sure many of you feel the same. We wish to thank you all for your continued patience and support.

We look forward to a prosperous year and the peace of mind that the new system will give us all.

Please check our website next week for any updates (it may, however, be unavailable at times as Internet Service Providers continue to take it down after receiving false spam reports). In any way, be rest assured that we are very much alive and continue to work on PrivateOpps' future.

We will keep everyone posted (via email) about our progress as we enter the weekend. Yahoo/MSN users: remember to check your Bulk/Spam folder often, as sometimes our emails end up there.

Also note that our Support Desk will most likely be very busy answering emails in the next few days, which may result in unusually long delays in getting back to you (2-4 days).

See you soon at our new private platform!

Best regards,

Robert Vaughn

Auto-surf-money is no more

Remember the site eProfitTeam which became eProfitWork which has owns Auto-surf-money, (ip: 72.3.231.51) As I have previously warned before, it is no longer around, I hope none of you submit your credential to them or well as new upgrades, see the news from them:
Auto-surf-money has been forced to temporarily close due to the restrictions placed upon it by other processors, such as Paypal and e-Gold.

As a result, there is currently no way to receive or payout funds from eProfitWorks. We believe the the most fair and logical way to handle this situation is to do as follows:

eProfitWorks will be temporarily closed effective Monday, March 27

The operations staff will then begin reviewing the database to calculate refunds for all members to which they are due.

A refund will be due if the amount you have spent from outside funds is greater than the amount you have cashed out. Purchases made from account earnings are not eligible for refund. Following this process, all accounts will be reset to zero so that we can restart with a clean slate. All members currently in free status will be deleted prior to this process to minimize the amount of data being worked with Refunds will be issued via ASM company check. Please complete your member profile in ASM so a check can be mailed to you if you are due a refund.

If you have purchased upgrades via Stormpay previously, you will be receiving an email with the amount that is being held in escrow for you.

eProfitWorks and ASM will remain offline until all development work is complete. Once complete, an announcement will be sent to all members and the sites will reopen. At this time, we are unable to give you a timeframe, however, we are doing our best to minimize the downtime.

Please do not submit support tickets regarding this issue.

PrivateOpps DNS Changes Again?

Here is the news from PrivateOpps regarding DNS change within the last few days:
Dear Participant,

Yes, we are as frustrated over this as you are. Yet another DNS provider closed our account because spam complaints continue to arrive. We are changing them once again, but will soon host our very own DNS server, so this will not be an issue anymore. We expect to have this solution fully implemented by Monday or Tuesday.

Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks are really not a big issue anymore. What causes the problems now are the many spam complaints that our various service providers get after a blackmailer decided to show us what happens when we don't pay him a randsom.

In the meantime, our site is fully accessible via http:// 209 . 249 . 221 . 43 /

We know, we always tell you not to click on links in emails, but as you can tell from our many other emails, this is indeed our real IP. You can also see that, as always, we have included your Account Number and Username at the top of this email. For added peace of mind, this time we have also included the address we have on file for your account. Malicious users are unlikely to know your Username and Address as they are
never made public (the Account Number is, if you refer people).

DNS changes may take up to 24 hours to be detected by your ISP, and so our domain - privateopps.com - may be inaccessible until then.

I sincerely apologize for this inconveniences in the past week. Be rest assured, these shameless attacks on our service will not be tolerated and will not shut down our program. We will continue to work to ensure uninterrupted service, and ask for your patience in the coming days.

As we continue to improve the stability of our system as far as these downtimes are concerned, you may experience the following in the next few days:

* Domain inaccessible - use IP address instead.
* Site down for a few minutes intermediately - even using the IP address.
* Delays in our Support Desk - as we usually receive many emails during downtimes, it will take us a bit longer to get back to you.

Best regards,

Do you GoldPoll?

Here is an interesting article on GoldPoll from News Navigator, do you GoldPoll?
It looks like a phrase that I’ve recently heard from one of the investors – “GoldPool have invented an infernal machine” – was prophetic. As soon as I’ve decided to look at their new child - GoldPoll Toolbar, a thunderstorm burst in the clear sky and positive greeting of developing technologies was replaced with accusations addressed to mean tricks, unworthy of the Leader. And it looks so, actually.

Some day about 10 of March, Paul, GoldPoll administrator, introduced his own toolbar to the audience. It looked like this: http://toolbar.goldpoll.com/bar.gif. Functions are simple, but inevitable – you enter the name of the program and receive statistical data about it. Information is brief and detailed – period of work, interest rates and the main thing – IF IT PAYS AT ALL. Besides, you may seek for additional info in Google, TalkGold and other relevant sources.

It is necessary for our business, but is it really convenient? The first question is as follows – it is correct that the problem is checked only IN ONE monitoring? Does GoldPoll deserve being the highest authority, as soon as it is an AUTOMATIC catalogue? It turns out that the answer is NO. Many investors said at once that they prefer investigate the program’s activity independently, without referring to such antiauthority opinion.

In addition, rumors about harmfulness of this program appeared. I also expressed here my skeptical opinion, remembering that Google Toolbar effectively collects al the info about your surfing, which is not honest. This second opinion became the second wave of program’s evaluation, which called much reasonable considerations and … thickening clouds.

there was a clap of thunder. After excited exclamations the period of investigation started and it suddenly turned out that GOLDPOLL ADMINISTRATION PERSONALLY MAKES ITSELF A REFERRAL! This is simple. You seek for the program, register (you needn’t to contact toolbar for it) and then see that you were brought here by some Paul from some GoldPoll…

All people at once were shocked and started to cry out loud, blaming Goldpoll of scam, but they didn’t notice that Paul pointed out that “You need no further actions, as soon as you join a program using our toolbar – we will automatically become your referrer.” But is it possible to explain something to enraged crowd?

Now this crowd is crying out discordantly. Some of them defend Paul, some of them accuse. Time needed to see what the results will be. But I may just notice with regret that it looks bad.

I don’t use GoldPoll and I’m not going to start using it.

News from PrivateOpps

Here is the news from PrivateOpps regarding PHISHING ATTACK WARNING:
Dear Participant,

PrivateOpps has received several reports of a new phishing attack that targets our Participants.

According to Wikipedia, "phishing is a form of criminal activity using social engineering techniques, characterized by attempts to fraudulently acquire sensitive information, such as passwords and credit card details, by masquerading as a trustworthy person or business in an apparently official electronic communication, such as an email or an instant message."

Users who have received these emails in the past few days report that the emails were made to appear as if they came from us, enticing the user to access "our" website by clicking on a link included in the email. Once clicked, that link takes you to a bogus website that looks very much like ours, but will attempt to record your PrivateOpps account access information by asking you to log-in to your account.

And so we repeat our usual warning:

DO NOT CLICK ON ANY PRIVATEOPPS-RELATED LINKS INCLUDED IN ANY EMAILS THAT YOU RECEIVE.

Never! No matter what the email is telling you, please DO NOT CLICK on any link.

To access our site, ALWAYS type-in our domain in your browser or use a bookmark entry that you KNOW is safe.

Phishing emails will often try to convince you to click on such links by trying to get you excited and impatient ("your account has been suspended", "a big deposit just came in", etc.)

Remember - no matter how convincing it may sound - WE NEVER include links in emails we send out.

Thank you for your cooperation,

FX-Experts Review

I just joined this program today after digging thru many forums and blogs. This program has been around since November of 2005. So far no payment problem has been reported. It is just another diversification program for me besides auto-surfs. Again like any other HYIP, this is no guarantee of success, but this one just has a better chance of making money than other ones I have encountered.

According to the site, this is what you get from it:
- A real opportunity.
- The security that you need (ssl 128 bits).
- Variable daily profits.
- 5% referral commission.
- You will be able to withdraw your loan at anytime with only 10% administrative fee.
- You will have as your investment manager serious and responsible professionals.
- You will be part of the most serious and promissor online program that ever existed.
- Success guarantee. (hmmm)
The site did not explain the process of how FX-Expert is making money for its members on its site. The only thing on the verification of the program is by three blogs rather by the program admin:

Is Auto-Surf Overtaking HYIPs

It seems like the trend for the recent months are in favor with auto-surf programs than the normal HYIPs. If you do a scan with most forums, blogs, and monitor sites, you will see more new auto-surf programs than new HYIPs.
There are advantages and disadvantages for auto-surf programs, one of the major disadvantage is you have to surf on a daily basis, if you can't surf, you will lose a day of interest which can be quite high that depends on the payout ratio for the auto-surf program. The advantages for auto-surf are: you can advertise your own programs to earn referrals or your site for traffics, and the admin of the auto-surf program can earn another stream of income if people decided to advertise on the surf program.
If you decided to join any auto-surf program, I would sticks with the following rules:
1. Stick with the one which is popular among all the surfing programs, such as WiredSurf and make sure it is paying currently without no payment problem.
2. You don't have surf too many sites, ie 100 sites per day
3. Reasonable payout, not 100% daily, it will doom to close very quickly

Good luck in surfing and making money at the same time!

TrustedFund Scam Warning Updated

TrustedFund (ip: 69.50.240.194) is having problem paying, see the post from the user KaMpeR of TalkGold Forum:
TrustedFund.com are NOT paying!

The last 5 withdrawal requests have not been honoured and trustedFund are not replying to email via the support system or by direct email to support@trustedfund.com.

I'd suggest you stay away from trustedfund.com

They ARE paying again. BUT, you can only draw a maximum of $10.00 per day.
It is a flip-flop paying program, I would stay away from it. Th max pay is $10, it does not sound good at all to me.

Beware of Auto-Surf-Money

Beware of this Auto-Surf-Money (ip: 72.3.231.51) site, I would not trust them to submit our info to them. One of its own site, from the same IP, eProfitWork (ip: 72.3.231.51) does not even give me earning after I surfed and deposited money via e-gold few months ago. Here is the info I got from them:
We cannot verify your ASM account if:

1 Your Auto-Surf-Money account is not complete.

Approximately HALF of the accounts that we receive documentation for and are trying to verify have incomplete profile information. If your profile is BLANK, there is nothing to verify your documents against and they will not be verified.

Everyone needs to check their profiles immediately to ensure that their name, complete address, and phone information are present.

Your FULL LEGAL NAME must be in the name field. Company names are allowable ONLY if you are providing documentation for your company.

2. You do not provide a valid, CURRENT government PICTURE ID. This means no expired driver's licenses or passports. If you are not submitting a picture ID, please do not bother submitting anything else. Without the picture ID, we cannot verify you.

3. Your files are named with invalid characters, such as apostrophes or any international character sets. If we cannot open the file, we cannot verify it.

4. Your scanned documents contain more blacked out information than viewable information. If you submit, for example, your bank statement and have blacked out your account number and/or address, this defeats the purpose and again we have nothing to verify. If you are blacking out any information on these documents, chances are you are blacking out the very information we need to SEE. So please do not submit anything if you are not comfortable sharing it - and we will not verify you.

5. You have provided a NetIBA letter as your proof of residence. NetIBA letters are NOT acceptable documentation of proof of residence.

We appreciate the short notes of encouragement that are submitted with documentation.

However, the novels that explain why you cannot submit what we ask for and why you need to substitute are not acceptable. If you cannot submit the required documents, just do not send them. Please do not send long explanations rationalizing your substitutions. That will not suffice.

Also, members who fill the comment area spamming us with their opportunities will not be verified.

Duplicate submissions are slowing down the process tremendously. If you have uploaded your documents, do NOT upload them multiple times with little notes as to how many times they have been sent.

Notes like the following are neither necessary nor appreciated:

"I have a Mastercard therefore I have a bank account!!!! If any of this data will be missused legal action will be taken against you personally, and against your company!!! If any personal information will be sent to any commercial company, or to any terror organization, The FBI, CIA and the Mosad will be deeply involved. "

FYI - having a Mastercard does NOT mean you have a bank account. BUT, we are a business. Do not demean yourself with notes like the above.

We have thus far been able to verify HALF of the submitted documents that have been reviewed for the above reasons.

We still have several thousand documents to review and are working as quickly as possible. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us complete the process as quickly as possible.

Hope you are all making it a great week.

Colette and Dan

PrivateOpps.com News

PrivateOpps.com is changing hosting service, see news:
Dear Participant,

PrivateOpps has recently became a victim of an extorsionist who is trying to hurt us by sending out Spam emails unless we pay him, in the hopes that our ISP will shut us down.

Well, it now appears that our DNS provider - DnsExit - has decided to close our account after receiving many complaints from people who received these spam emails.

We have already switched to a new DNS provider a few minutes ago. Please note that it may take up to 24 hours before our DNS records are updated for all users, and so PrivateOpps.com may not be working until then.

In the meantime, our website is accessible at http://209.249.221.43/

I apologize for this inconvenience and sincerely appreciate your continued patience. We are doing our very best to ensure uninterrupted service and are working to stop this spammer.

HYIP Scam Warnings

Swiftinvestment.com, (ip: 63.246.133.78). Payment problem reported.
Here is a quote from News Navigator:
Haven't paid out on a withdrawal request. Site claims to payout in 12 business hours. It's been a week so far and nothing. Admin doesn't respond to any messages sent to indicate they are having any tech issues. At least it's only $1.40 that I've lost.
eProfitWork, (ip: 72.3.231.51). A recent re-surfaced auto-surfer came back from death, it used to called the eProfitSurf site. I have invested money into the program a while back before the name was changed. It then changed from e-gold to its own auot-surf-money currency. Even though I surfed a daily for the past few days. I do not get earning from it, it just gave me some useless credits. It is a scam. Do not put your money in there. eProfit$Team (ip: 72.29.80.171), is the backer of these eprofit. I would not join any of their programs. Stay away from them.

Shocking News from StudioTraffic

One of my readers has informed me the following news on StudioTraffic (ip: 64.62.137.128):
Hello,

I received this news few hours back. Our top management has resigned. This means that offices in US, Canada and Spain will be closed.

With this shocking news and with recent problems with stormpay, I am sad to inform some changes which will affect members.

Members, who are in profit, please stop surfing as we can no longer afford it. We hope you will understand that we have done our best and this is something similar to natural disaster which is beyond our control. If you have funds in studiopay or in your studiotraffic account, please take note that in our TOS, we have never guaranteed payout. Your payout is determined based on our advertising revenue. Less advertiser revenue means that we need less people surfing. You can, however, still use your account for advertising purposes.

I am sure there are people who lost money with stormpay. We are victims too. Stormpay is still taking money from us everyday, we are not sure when they will stop and have expected that we lost our reserves (hundreds of thousands) we have with stormpay.

All is not lost as we can still depend on local funding from our offices worldwide. However, with top management resigning and offices closing down, we will lose almost 90% of funding.

Members who are not in profit, please send email to notinprofit@studiotraffic.com. What we will do is that in the coming months, we will seek venture capital and raise funds. Once we raised these funds, we will send it to you. Do take note that we are not obligated to do refunds or to send you back what you sent in. When you upgrade, you are getting accesses set with different account level so you can advertise your products or services better. When you upgrade, we have a refund policy where we will return you what you sent in, in the first 7 days. After the initial cooling period of 7 days, we are not obligated to do any refund as it is assumed that you accepted what you received.

We are doing this because we want nobody to lose any money with us. Please give us a reasonable time to do this as we need time to get it arranged. You can, however, still continue to use your account for advertising purposes which you have paid for. There is no need for you to continue surfing. All of you will automatically receive shares to all studio programs. If we cannot manage to raise venture funds, we will sell your shares in all studio programs and pay you back so it is the same.

We will close down studiopay website for a couple of months because with Studiopay staff resigning, we do not have enough manpower to handle it. We will do a complete restructuring with a new management team in it. Once ready, we will bring studiopay to public.

I hope all members will understand that we have done our best and what happened is something beyond our control. All studio programs will continue to run. We will continue to allow signups to basic accounts. Most of our current advertisers have mentioned that they do not need high level account holders to surf. As long as we can get a lot of people to see their ads, they are willing to continue to advertise with us. Our expenditure will be reset to the lowest because we will be getting only basic accounts members to surf.

After this, we will, most likely, have less than 15 staff working on this. Due to shortage of manpower, we can only attend to non profit members for the time being. Please send to notinprofit@studiotraffic.com.

As for other members, once we get everything back, we will continue to get you back to surf. Please give us some time to work things out. Please do not send emails because we do not have enough manpower to handle it.

Members please do not worry. As long as we start afresh, we are confident to turn things around and it will be better than before. Many of our staff has indicated that they would like to continue to help out without any payout. If you like to help us further, please email to support@studiotraffic.com.

I hope all members will understand that we are doing the best we can. We will continue to work hard and make sure no one loses money with us.

Sincerely,
John

EMO In Trouble??

Here is the press release from the Attorney General of Texas on EMO, the official link:
Monday, March 13, 2006
Attorney General Abbott Files Emergency Action To Protect Clients Of Unlicensed Online Payment Service

EMO Corp. and officers cannot account for $2.4 million in customer cash

AUSTIN - Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott has obtained an asset freeze and emergency approval for a court-appointed receiver to take over the operations of unlicensed Austin-based online payment service EMO Corp.

The company and its officers, Todd L. Tredeau, Tracey Jones and Nancy C. Humphries cannot fully account for more than $5.4 million that consumers placed into their accounts. The company’s books show they have only $3 million cash on hand, which means EMO cannot account for $2.4 million belonging to its customers. The officers failed to register with the Texas Banking Department and obtain a license as a “money services business,” as required by law.

“These officers must account for their outrageous mismanagement of consumers’ money, which they promised would be secure,” said Attorney General Abbott. “The court’s appointment of a receiver to seize control of this company’s assets will provide an opportunity to determine where this money has gone.”

The company’s Web site, www.emocorp.com, touts the service as a safe way to conduct financial transactions online, as a service to assist consumers who are recent victims of fraud and businesses that handle payrolls.

Consumers who open accounts with online payment services can deposit money into their accounts via credit cards or bank transfers and expect instant access to their accounts. The consumer uses the service to send or receive money to and from other members via electronic transfers. According to information given to the Department of Banking by EMO Corp., the company has a current customer base of 17,000 nationwide, with 6,000 of these in Texas.

The Banking Department denied EMO a license for failure to meet minimum net worth requirements of $500,000 and other statutory requirements. Furthermore, according to the company’s own financial statements presented to the Department of Banking, the company is insolvent.

Upon investigation following the asset freeze, the Attorney General will seek restitution to any consumer harmed by these transactions, as well as civil penalties and attorneys’ fees.

1100percent Review

One of my readers wants me to review the site, 1100percent, (ip: 205.234.195.201). This site came out Feb 19, 2006. It pays 1100% for 3 daily. Referral is 500% daily. WoW! That is a wondeful return. Right?
Wrong! I believe this is an obvious scam site. It will collapse anytime, or even now as I am typing this review. Most likely the admin will not even pay the investor who deposit his or her money. The best to do about this kind of site is skip to them. If you see anything that is too obvious to be true, then do not invest in them.

WireSurf is Dropping EMO in favor of e-Gold

e-Gold is better than EMO for HYIPs? See news from WireSurf:
To increase overall performance and to keep up the speed in which we process payments, we are going to temporarily remove EMO as an option to withdraw at Wired Surf. While members will still be able to purchase ad packs using EMO, we will focus on e-gold withdraws for the time being.

For those who wish to receive payment into their EMO accounts, you can simply log into your EMO account and link your new e-gold account to it. Once you have done that, you can instantly transfer your e-gold into your EMO account.

If you don't yet have an e-gold account, please sign up for one (instantly) at http://www.e-gold.com

You will then have to log into your Wired Surf members center to update your profile to include your new e-gold account number, if you had previously selected EMO as your payment preference.

If we find that offering only e-gold as a form of withdraw does not help with time management and overall functionality, we will add it back to our site, but for the time being, we accept payments via EMO and e-gold, and pay out via E-gold.

Thank you for your understanding as we work towards continuing our organized method of payments, and in improving our program.

Privateopps News On Changes to Unit Redemption process

Privateopps is grwoing, see news:
PrivateOpps is growing rapidly (over 5,500 members as of early March) and becoming ever more popular. We currently handle over a thousand transactions per day (Unit purchases, redemptions, deposits, and withdrawals) and continue to hire more staff and add various technological advancements to help handle the increasing work load. This also requires us to make changes to the program from time to time to ensure the longevity and stablility of our program.

Beginning today, Redemption orders will be processed within 6 business days (replacing the current "12 hours or less" policy).

This change became necessary in order to significantly reduce the private clubs' overhead and allow for sufficient time to efficiently take funds out of the market and ensure their availability for fulfillment of future withdrawal requests.

This will undoubtly increase the productivity and efficiency of all private clubs. Moving forward, they will be able to maintain better money management practices, as the new policy provides a clear outlook over the amounts to be withdrawn from the markets almost a week in advance.

Please note that our Participant Agreement has been modified accordingly (Section 6.2 now reads "within 6 business days" instead of "within 12 hours or less") and made effective immediately.

This is one of several upcoming improvements slated to be introduced later this month. PrivateOpps continues to provide its members with a state-of-the-art investing platform that is second to none, and is growing stronger each day.

News from CreativeTraders

CreativeTraders is changing server, see news:
Dear Investors,

we wish to inform you: it's possible that our page is not available as we moved to our new server outside of the USA. Until the new DNS settings take effect you can visit us through this address: http://202.190.200.112/

And we have another important announcement too!
Since the amount of the invested money increased heavily in the past
week, it's conceivable that Matthew won't be able to work with such
amounts (if it keeps growing at this rate). This is not his fault, you
have to understand that only with a finite amount of money is it
possible to gain profit in the world of hyips. Because of this as soon
as Matthew's capacity reaches it's maximum, we'll have to decrease the
rate of his incoming money from 80% to 20-30%. The rest will go to
Robert who can handle unlimited amount. After this event (which could
happen anytime in a week or a month) we'll cease the 12 day plan and
modify the 24 day plan's yield to 30-40%. We're really sorry, in the
beginning we never thought we'd have to work with such amounts of
money.
In a few hours our page will be accessible for everyone through our
domain name as soon as the DNS update is finished.

Thank you for the confidence.

12 Daily Pro Now Under Federal Control

Thanks to an interesting article contributed by one of my readers:
12 Daily Pro investors may eventually get some of their money back, but it is going to take a while.

For the first time, Charis Johnson is talking to the media. She tells the Charlotte Observer that everything was legal as far as she knew, and she says she's now working with the government to "fix this."

But a judge in Los Angeles effectively took Johnson out of the business picture. Federal District Court Judge Nora Manella assigned Tom Lennon as receiver over 12 Daily Pro. Lennon, who's business is based in Southern California, is already in Charlotte, North Carolina.

With the judges order now in hand, he can take control of all aspects of the internet venture and start tracking down the money. At this point, the largest chunk of investors money appears to be held by Storm Pay.

Storm Pay is the internet payment processor that froze the 12 Daily Pro account a month ago. Storm Pay has been vilified by many 12 Daily Pro faithful for stopping what they say had been a company that always paid its members on time.

Ironically, it now appears the money Storm Pay froze estimated now at just under 50-million dollars -- may represent the best hope for those who have lost money.

Randall Lee, Regional Director for the Securities and Exchange Commission in Los Angeles is just grateful that there is any money. "The sad truth is, in most cases by the time we shut it down, most of the money if not all of the money is already gone," said Lee.

Lee also thinks quick action in this case has led to a good result.

"It was almost a pure Ponzi," says Lee, who oversees the investigators who filed the original complaint with Judge Manella and negotiated the stipulated order that led to the appointment of a receiver.

Lee said, "The only real source of income was from new investors. Our investigation found that 95% of the funds were simply moved from one investor to another."

Lee says there isn't much that investors can do but wait. "The receiver will be taking overlooking at the full scope of the operations including anybody that lost money in this scheme. The receiver at the same time will be making an effort to reach out and contact all investors. There is nothing immediate that anyone can do. It will take some time. We are firmly committed to the protection of investors."

And yet Lee admits, "We can't be on every street corner. We cant know what's going on in every corner of the internet."

Lee says investors have to take some measure of responsibility for where they put their money, and he says a 12% daily return as promised by 12 Daily Pro is unreasonable.

Still, Lee is reluctant to place blame for any Ponzi scheme's collapse on investors, adding, "Nobody deserves to be cheated. Nobody deserves to be lied to. Everybody is entitled to the protection of federal securities laws. And so we are here to protect investors even if they make decisions that they might later regret."

Lee advises investors to watch for updates on the www.sec.gov web site.

He also says the receiver will probably eventually start posting updates on the 12 Daily Pro web site -- which is now under his control as well.

Review of EuroEgold

I got a request from a reader of my blog to review EuroEgold. So I will do my best to examine this site as much as I can. I cannot guarantee the success of program, but I will present my prespective of the program when I review the site.
In a nutshell, EuroEgold, (ip: 202.157.181.48). It offers 3 plans, 12 days and rate (170%, 280%, and 350%) is based on the invested amount. This site also has another site name as http://www.egtinvest.com.
According to the info I have gathered, it is hosted by Katz Global Media in Hong Kong. From my past experience, hosted by Katz Global Media in Hong Kong usually means NO! Furthermore, if you did a search the IP on my blog, the IP came out to be an IP belongs to a former SCAM site, eurogoldtrust, see my link. It maybe the same owner. The correlation is the word "euro" something.
I would advice to skip this one just in case.

Review of CreativeTraders

I got this investment program after searching around. The first impression I got was WOW! CreativeTraders looks quite unique. This investment program has came out in the middle of February 2006 based on the whois.sc information.

This site offers 2 plans:
plan 1 - 125% - 135% in 12 days
plan 2 - 190% - 210% in 24 days.

The way this program makes money are the following:
HYIP investment and forex trading

They only accept e-gold which I believe it should be the only e-currency for the HYIP world. I have placed some test spend today on this program. I will keep my readers updated once I got paid from them.

But always remember this, all HYIPs can be risky. There is no low, medium or high risk. They all are high risk. Spend only the amount that you can afford to lose. I believe HYIPs have better odds at making money than gambling in the casino if you do it right.

WiredSurf 's Answer Regarding Its Program

Here is the post from WiredSurf's Forum:
We received a rather good question through the help desk today, and I thought that perhaps we should share this with our entire community.

Question:

I am sure you are all aware of 12dp and the allegations they are facing from the FBI etc. It has been said that the FBI are clamping down on all the auto-surfs and that it is a matter of days/weeks before everyone is shut down. 12dp's business model was similar to Wired Surf's - and they have charged Charis with securities fraud and frozen $50mill of funds.

What I want to know is do you think you will be affected by this? How safe is it buy membership's right now, and if you are approached by the Feds how will you convince them of you are legit.

Please let me know your thoughts. I look forward to your reply.

Answer:

Our business model isn't anything like that of 12DailyPro.com. We focus on additional products and services outside of the auto surf program itself, and this will separate ourselves and our company from both being called a ponzi scheme, and from actually being one.

Our newest product launch will be our upcoming debit card program that will clearly define how Wired Surf and its network partners plan to create multiple sources of income through established and lucrative offers that genuinely will be utilized by members, and not simply websites or products deployed to simply produce the image that we are larger than we actually are.

We work each day with the pure intention of revolutionizing this industry because it is clearly the time to do so. Regulations set by the SEC will be followed by our network, whatever those regulations may be, but we will be one of the few programs that are not forced to scatter attempting to formulate a legal advertising company that is remodeling itself to fit any particular guidelines, because we are already set up that way.

There is usually a very vivid difference between auto surfs today. Those that appear to be larger than life itself and produce little productivity and far too much hype, and then there are those that are sloppy, disassociated amateur websites that put no real effort into their program, and no real commitment to ensuring the longevity of their opportunity.

With Wired Surf, and with any other website within our network, we will maximize the chances of success because we only focus on producing quality products and services that have been pre-determined to be in demand.

A company like ours or any other that focuses on outside revenue streams are not a ponzi or pyramid structure. The SEC seemed concerned that 12DailyPro was unable to generate outside revenue other than a minimal 5%. With Wired Surf, our debit card program alone will generate a large percentage of our overall revenue, and with additional companies being launched that will include a payment processor, large scale web hosting company and other projects underway, we have no real concern that Wired Surf will be considered anything but reputable and solid.

Thank you for your question, it was a very good one

US Government Press Release in regard to 12DailyPro

US Government Press Release in regard to 12DailyPro, see news:
SEC Halts “Paid Autosurf” Internet Ponzi Scheme that Raised Over $50 Million from 300,000 Investors Worldwide
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
2006-26

Washington D.C., Feb.27, 2006 — The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced the filing of securities fraud charges against the operators of www.12dailypro.com, a “paid autosurf program” that in fact was a massive Ponzi scheme which raised more than $50 million from over 300,000 investors worldwide by offering a 44% return on investment in just 12 days. As a result of the SEC’s charges, the defendants, Charis Johnson, age 33, of Charlotte, N.C., and her companies, 12daily Pro and LifeClicks, LLC, ceased their solicitation of investors and agreed to a freeze of all their assets and the appointment of a receiver who will take control of the companies’ operations.

According to the Commission’s complaint, which was filed last week in federal district court in Los Angeles, Calif., www.12dailypro.com claimed to be a paid autosurf program — a form of online advertising program that purportedly generates advertising revenue by automatically rotating advertised websites into a viewer’s Internet browser. Advertisers purportedly pay “hosts,” which in turn pay their members to view the rotated websites. The Commission’s complaint alleges that 12daily Pro’s sale of membership units constituted the fraudulent and unregistered sale of securities under the federal securities laws. The Commission also today posted to its Web site an investor alert concerning autosurf programs. The alert can be viewed at www.sec.gov/investor/pubs/autosurf.htm.

Randall R. Lee, Regional Director of the Commission’s Pacific Regional Office, said, “Paid autosurf programs have become an enormous industry on the Internet. When these schemes depend on attracting new members in order to pay returns to current members, they are destined to collapse. The promise of guaranteed, double-digit returns in a matter of days should raise a red flag. We urge the public to be aware that paid memberships in these schemes may be a form of investment, and to exercise extreme caution before investing in any get rich quick scheme.”

According to the Commission’s complaint, the 12daily Pro website, recently ranked as the 352nd most heavily trafficked website, solicited investors to become “upgraded members” by buying “units” for a “fee” of $6 per unit, with a maximum of 1,000 units. 12daily Pro promised to pay each upgraded member 12% of his or her membership fee per day for 12 days. At the end of 12 days, the member purportedly would have earned a total of 144% of his or her original membership fee, 44% of which would be profit on the membership fee. To receive the promised payment, a member purportedly must view at least 12 web pages per day during the 12 day period. The amount of returns that 12daily Pro would pay its members, however, was in fact dependent solely on the amount of each member’s investment, not on the amount of website-viewing or any other services rendered.

The Commission alleges that the defendants defrauded investors by operating 12daily Pro as almost a pure Ponzi scheme — using new investor monies to pay the promised returns to existing investors — in violation of the federal securities laws. The defendants falsely represented that upgraded members’ earnings “are financed not only [by] incoming member fees, but also with multiple income streams including advertising, and off-site investments.” In fact, at least 95% of 12daily Pro’s revenues have come from new investments in the form of membership fees from new or existing members. The other “multiple income streams” from advertising revenues or off-site investments touted by the defendants were either negligible or non-existent. In addition, undisclosed to investors, Johnson transferred more than $1.9 million in investor funds to her personal bank account since mid-2005.

Johnson and her companies have consented to the entry of a court order that permanently enjoins them from future violations of the antifraud provisions of the federal securities laws, imposes a freeze on their assets, prohibits the destruction of documents, and appoints Thomas F. Lennon as permanent receiver over the assets of 12daily Pro and LifeClicks, LLC. The order is subject to approval by United States District Judge Nora M. Manella. Johnson and her companies consented to the order without admitting or denying the allegations in the complaint. The Commission’s complaint also seeks repayment of ill-gotten gains and civil money penalties; the amounts to be sought will be determined at a later date.

The Commission’s complaint alleges that the defendants violated the antifraud provisions of Section 17(a) of the Securities Act of 1933 and Section 10(b) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Rule 10b-5 thereunder, and the securities registration provisions of Sections 5(a) and 5(c) of the Securities Act.

This matter was referred to the Commission in early February by several members of the public. Complaints and tips from the public are vital to the Commission’s mission to protect investors, and the Commission staff reviews each and every complaint it receives.
