UPDATE ON THE 50/50 RULE December 13th 12.30am
Hi Everybody,
I have read most of your emails, and as already stated I am unable to respond personally. I am able to take on board what is being said, and that is the reason for this update. The problem with most of the people who sent emails, appears to be that they do not realise the gravity of the cashflow situation, and think that their own particular circumstance is unique, and then provide me with a reason why they should be paid before anybody else.. Please do not waste your time and mine with these emails, your situation is not unique, and if I were able to pay everyone who sent an email like this, there would be no need for any 50/50 rule, or any other changes to the terms.
As explained in the previous update, cashflow has been severely dented. The situation in the last few days with the phoney upgrades has further exacerbated this situation. I am faced with two options. I can either generate more cashflow, or I can close the site down. My choice was to introduce a 50/50 rule in the hope of generating more cashflow. In the first 2 days after announcing this rule, cashflow did increase significantly, and I was able to make payments to many more members than would have otherwise been the case. Unfortunately we were then hit with this bogus upgrade situation, and our cashflow took another beating. I am pleased to announce that we have now beaten this thing, the bogus upgrades have all been removed, and we have put steps in place to ensure that they will not happen again.
We know that payouts are late, and payouts will continue to be late until we are able to get through this difficult time. We are doing all we can to get them back to a reasonable time frame, but we are unable to make any specific promises as to when that may happen.
I have decided that the 50/50 rule will not be compulsory, but priority in payments will be given to those members who do have upgrades equal to half of their expected payout or more. For example, if your pending cashout is for $400, your member level would need to be at $200 or more. Once we have those members back into a reasonable time frame, we can start closing the gap for the other members.
The membership of 12by12daily currently falls into five categories. These are the categories, and this is the order in which they will be prioritised.
Category 1. Members who comply with the 50/50 rule. These members will be given the highest priority, and will always be the first paid. If these members continue to upgrade within the 50/50 rule, then they will always remain in category 1.
Category 2. Upgraded members who have 2 or more pending cashouts. These members will be given the 2nd priority. They will be paid for their first pending cashout, ( or first and second in some cases) but, as previously they will need to upgrade again to be paid for their last pending. The size of their upgrades will determine whether they stay in category 2, or are promoted to category 1. These members also have the
option of upgrading now, and being promoted directly to category 1.
Category 3. Members who have reverted to Free and have 2 or more pending cashouts. These members will be given 3rd priority. Once again, they will be paid for their first pending cashout (or first and second in some cases), and once again, they will need to upgrade again in order to be paid for their last pending. These members have the option of upgrading now, and immediately being promoted to category 2 or 1, or
waiting until they receive their payment and then upgrading to a higher category.
Category 4. Upgraded members who have one pending cashout. These members will be given the 4th priority. If their second upgrade expires, and they revert to free, they will then be moved to category 3, or, if they remain upgraded and their second upgrade expires they will move to category 2. They also have the option of upgrading according to the 50/50 rule, and being promoted straight up to category 1.
Category 5. Free members, who have only upgraded once, and their upgrade has expired. As has always been the case, these members will not be paid, until they make a further upgrade.
As you can see, whichever category you fall into, you are given the opportunity to help yourselves be paid quicker, and also to help 12by12daily return to a positive cashflow situation quicker, by making further upgrades. If you are unable or unwilling to make further upgrades, then you will stay in a lower category, and will need to be patient.
Unfortunately we are unable to make any referral commission payouts until such time, as we return to positive cashflow. You will be advised when this happens.
Thank you for listening, and your understanding during this difficult
time.
