Symptoms:
Every time I log in to my e-gold account via Internet Explorer my e-gold balance is wiped out and it shows 0.00
When I login wia Firefox it is NOT emptied.
I got this bug around 11.sep simply by visiting a website (a hyip site I think) and NOT from email atachment or phishing email. My e-gold or email was not hacked, but the script worked automatically behind my shoulders and made a un-authorized transaction using my login and IP address. The transaction was immidiate upon login, and to different e-gold accounts all with names of hyipsites. First time I lost $430 fortunaetly I had money out "on work" the other transactions were small because I removed money via Firefox to my other account, while testing.
I have tried many trojan scanners and antivirus programs during the last 4 days in trying to remove it: Kaspersky, panda, pc-cillin, ad-aware, spybot, trojan remover, trojanhunter, vundofix, ewido, webroot Spy Sweeper, antitrojan elite,
After each scan and removal of suspicious things, I made test logins to my e-gold, with small balances of $1-2 and everytime I log in via IE the account is emptied.
First today I was able to locate a Goldun trojan with Kaspersky antivirus and I deleted the trojans named Trojan-Spy.Win32.Goldun with two different extensions: .mn and .mm. I scanned with Kaspersky earlier this week but didnt find anything. These trojans were installed 11.sep, 1 minut apart.
According to http://www.viruslist.com/en/viruses/...virusid=135074 this trojan version was detected 14th.sep. I believe they were just added to Kaspersky antivirus
They seem to be new variants of Goldun Trojan which is:
"Trojan that targets "e-gold" but doesn't launch an attack until the authentication process has been monitored and completed, as e-gold uses a number of security measures, such as limiting account access to an individual IP address and the use of one-time passphrases"

Although it is my computer that has been infected, therefore a leak in my security, once infected the trojans use a security leak in the e-gold system. It should not be possible to run a hidden script and make an un-authorized transaction behind my shoulder and just in front of my eyes. It happens so quicky that in the moment you login and click "balance" the hidden transaction has already been done and you are zero'ed.
This is not hacking, nobody has stolen my password or login to my account. I do the login and from my IP address, then this trojan starts to work and make the transaction as if I did it myself.
Why isnt is required (or at least optional) to put in a turing number to manually confirm a transaction ??
The e-gold company always try to blame account holders for beeing hacked and having poor security, clicking emails, however I think e-gold should look at their own security and update it.
These trojans are not hacking and when they are not recognized by good and popular antivirus/antitrojan programs then it is very difficult for account holders to avoid beeing rooped.
These trojans can download simply by visiting a website and all surfers do that. I am sure I didnt get it from an email, I got it from visiting a hyip site (dont know which).
The thieves that stole my e-gold were:

* Use firefox for all e-gold related work including surfing and visiting hyip sites = environment that uses e-gold a lot. These sites can have malign code and the sites in rotation in surf programs can certainly have bad code you can pick up.

* use the SRK tool for typing your password.
* Use a password different from other passwords (If you use the same password for both HYIPs and your EG account, some admins may take advantage of that.).
* Use a unique email address.
* Never click on links in "e-gold" emails.
* Bookmark the e-gold login address.
* Dont keep too much in balance. Get a 2nd e-gold "storage" account to keep most of your money while your 1st. account is your daily working account for "spends"
* Use a good antivirus/antitrojan/firewall program
* Keep your OS system updated and get the newest Java sun

Doom's Day for OffShoreClub?
I went the offshoreclub website (ip: 84.16.240.203) today, I saw this announcement regarding the status of this famous and long lasting program. Here is the bad news posted on the site:

Fortunately, I started to invest this program early, and withdraw principles and profits from time to time. I writing this sad news to share you some facts that affected our business and put Offshore Club in a situation where we can't move any step to any direction.
To sum up the story, we will tell you exactly what happened with Offshore Club
from the beginning of 2006.
First of all, let's remind you with what happened with our e-gold account before 2006 which was our first financial disaster. E-gold start blocking all our accounts without any reason or previous

I got another payout from AsianPay's Investor Corner today. It only took less than 24 hours to honor my request. Even under the coup tumoil in Thailand, AsianPay is still operating as normal. They just start exchange servicee for e-bullion service as well in additional to its e-gold exchange service. Its Investor Corner is working marvalously . In order to participate its investment program, you have to be verified to insure the validity of its merchants and users. This one is definitely worth considering. It is a legitimate business.

A quick update on the state of 12by12daily. Congratulations to those of you that stuck with us through our initial problems. We are now travelling along quite nicely thank you, and many members are now reaping the rewards. Payouts are continuing to be done every day, and all eligible members have been paid on time, every day for about six weeks. The future is looking very bright for all 12by12daily
members now. Membership growth is steady rather than spectacular, and upgrades are at an all time high. We upgraded our server a week ago to cope with the extra traffic, and it has already been tested to the max, so another upgrade will be happening shortly.
1. Contact Requests. I am happy to say that the number of unnecessary emails has reduced to a manageable level, and most emails are being responded to or acted upon within 48 hours. I am still getting some emails about incorrect cash balances, or incorrect pending amounts. As previously advised many times, we are aware of these glitches and are fixing them at or before the time of payout. I experimented with the idea of not showing cash balances until your upgrades expired, but the reaction to that was not good....lol. I am also still getting a few emails from free members asking about cashouts. Once again, as showing in the terms, faqs, and previous updates you must have an active upgrade in order to be able to cashout.
2. Forum. I am also happy to announce that the forum is up and running. (Only good news today :) ) If you haven't joined yet, pop in and say hello. We have a great Moderator in Martin, and many of the questions you are asking will have the answers in there. Please take the time to read the rules before posting, and please no posts about dadndaves. Any of these will be deleted.
3. Referral commission. In the previous update, I mentioned that we had to put referral commissions on hold, whilst we caught up on the main payouts. I am glad to announce that referral commissions are starting to be paid. When you have been paid your referral commission you will be able to see the details by clicking on your "history" link on your members page. I am unable to say at this stage how long it will take to complete the first round of referral commissions, as many of the early
members had already been paid some, and therefore need to be audited before payment. We are paying in numerical order, and when we get to the end of the list we will start at 1 again. After the first round, the process should speed up a bit, due to the need for less auditing. Don't forget you need to be an upgraded member to be paid referral commissions.
4. Two Pending Cashouts? We have a bit of a problem with members whose 2nd upgrade expires while waiting to be paid for their first one. What happens in this case is that your account reverts to free, and your payout disappears off the list. I had promised to pay the first cashout in this instance, and will honour this promise. However sometimes it is difficult to find them, once they have disappeared from the list. If you are in this situation, you can email us, and we will fix. Bear
in mind that it may take a couple of days for us to see your email. The quickest way is to make another upgrade, (You will need to anyway to get your 2nd cashout). As soon as you do this your payout will reappear on the payout list, and jump to the head of the queue. Some members who have done this have been paid in minutes, but the most you should have to wait is 24 hours.

I came across this interesting investment program name GHPI after I searched around the net. This one is relatively new. According to the site, it started in July 2006. The site is registered in Panama. The IP address is 200.115.174.42. Its IP is not in the scam list of bad IPs. The min spend is $25. It accepts many types of payment systems, such as e-gold. Is FX-Experts Ending?
After several months of successful payouts, I got this message when I check onto its site today. Will this be the end of Fx-Experts? The situation does not bode well for the program right now.
Dear Members,
After reading this letter, I am sure all my clients are going to be upset, because they all trusted in our potential, but I also can say that a few people will be “happy” and they will say in the blogs and forums: “I said that it would happen”.
What I have to say today, is not that we are closing the company, but that we had a huge lost in the last days.
We will have to change some points so we can get back what we lost without worrying about the weekly profit. We are also changing the broker so we can give you a better service.
We are going to change those points:
- the daily profit is going to be zero;
- we will not accept withdraws;
- we will not accept deposits;
The company asks you to not worry about the situation, our website will be online and we are going to be here working, trying to help you in the best way.

Updates from Forex-United
After 5 days of out of town travel, I came back with another successful week from Forex-United. Another on-time-payment. Here is the return from last week:
We closed this Friday with 1.6% and the week with 8%. All payments were processed with no problems and compounded balances were credited. We expect a good scenario for the next week, specially for USD pairs, after the announcement of the falling of unemployment rates in USA by the Fed today. However, we must expect the raise of USD after Monday, wich is holiday in USA. We will keep updating.
